With the Directv® PlusŪ DVR system
you can pause live tv. You can record one show while watching another.

The Directv® PlusŪ DVR system
makes it possible for you to never have to miss any of your favorite
television programs. You can automatically record each episode of
a show on any channel that you have a subscription to. With the click
of a button, you just select your shows and the Directv® PlusŪ
DVR system will take care of all the details. It's really a very simple
process.
It will even automatically update
the times to record if the program that you selected happens to change
the days or times that it is broadcast. The system even gives you
the option of skipping reruns. Use your remote control in order to
pause, rewind and or use the slow motion feature in order to make
your very own instant replays.
Having the ability to fast-forward,
pause and rewind through recorded shows will give you the option of
skipping through commercials. The on-screen guide lets you search
for your favorite programs by show title, person, keyword or channel.
You can schedule your system to record a program up to 14 days in
advance! All you have to do
is highlight your search result on the screen and then choose the
show that you would like to record.
If your phone service has called ID
then you can use the On-Screen Caller ID function in order to see
who is calling, right on your television set! There is also a collection
of exclusive Directv® programming that is automatically saved
to your DVR. This collection of select programming can be accessed
on the tab that is labeled "Showcases" and does not count
toward the amount of disk space that you have at your disposal.

of high-definition storage capacity as well as the newest DVR (Digital
Video Recording) and HD technology combined. The all new Directv®
PlusŪ HD DVR will be a great addition to your overall home theater
experience. With the Directv® PlusŪ HD DVR in your home theater
you will gain the advantage of having sharper images, brighter colors
and crisper audio qualities and it can all be recorded with the DVR
function.
Additional features allow you to view
and record standard-definition as well as high-definition programming
content. You can also record off-air digital broadcasts where they
are made available. You can pause and rewind a live TV program for
up to 90 minutes. This feature also allows you to be able to make
your own instant replays and play them back in slow motion. You will
also have the option of changing your viewing preferences so that
you can watch your program in various formats such as full screen,
stretched, letterbox, pillar box or crop mode.
