Flat Panel TV Buying Tips
So what do you look for when you are
shopping for flat panel LCD and plasma TV's? One of the most obvious
considerations is which brand you should choose. The most popular
brands also happen to be some of the best brands that you can choose.
In order, they are as follows:
1) Panasonic
2) Pioneer
3) Samsung
4) Philips
5) Hitachi or LP
There are several other brands that
are worth consideration but you will be doing well if you end up choosing
one of the brands listed above.
Another consideration is whether you
should buy a plasma or LCD screen flat panel TV Historically, the
LCD screens have been more expensive but these days you can buy them
so cheap that they can easily rival the plasma television sets in
price. Plasma TV's also do better than LCD's when you are viewing
scenes that have a lot of dark and light images shown simultaneously.
Plasma plat panel TV's are better
in rooms with less lighting. LCD's will give you better viewing in
rooms that are brightly lit because of the anti glare technology that
comes with them. Also, plasma TV's have a 160 degree viewing angle
whereas LCD screens is around 120 degrees. If you are simply looking
for the highest resolution then go with a LCD flat panel television
set. If you are looking for overall value then go plasma.
